I purchased the pink Solia flat iron. I ordered this after careful reviews of other straighteners and after all the recommendations; ordered. Product is impressive and quite sturdy feeling. This is a very good product. My hair would not come out like my stylist flat ironed. Great, I love it. Anyone can look like they came out of a salon with this flat iron.

Heats up quickly and my daughter loves it, too. She's had other straighteners in the past that left her straight hair in the morning and frizzy in the afternoon. This keeps her hair straight all day.

I have straight hair, but the ends of my hair tend to bend a little and since I have always had layers, it makes my hair look wavy. The GHD works wonderfully. I had the bottom of my hair straightened within 5 minutes! I don't need to use it repeatedly on the same section of hair to straighten it, and I don't need to slide the hair through slowly. Just a fast slide once on little sections does the job. And it also leaves my hair really smooth and silky! The straightener is a bit pricey, but it has two years of warranty on it and if you really care about your hair, it is a great investment.

I'm glad I purchased the Chi ($100), this one works just fine. I plugged it up to see how fast it would heat up and within 10 seconds it was hot. I have thick hair that is why I purchased it, and it works well. My hair is smooth straight and silky-like when I use this pink flat iron (but I also use a heat spray).
